What Are Storm Windows?
Storm windows are much simpler than regular plastic or wooden double-glazed windows. Most often, they are two panes of glass in a wood, aluminum, or plastic frame. Such a window is not used alone but as an addition to the main one.
External storm windows are:
- Fixed. They cannot be opened for ventilation at all, which is inconvenient.
- Sliding. With two tracks that can move horizontally.
- Two-lane. The lower panel can be raised to ventilate the room.
- Three-lane. The central part is fixed, and the upper and lower can be opened vertically for ventilation.
